Our History

Crestline's 50 years of success in Toledo and the surrounding areas are attributed to the unwavering dedication of honest, hardworking employees and the reliance on top-of-the-line, dependable equipment. Co-founders Jerry James and Jim Macrae embarked on Crestline as a side venture in 1974 while employed by a local paving contractor. Their employer supported their efforts by directing small projects like driveways their way, which they diligently worked on during evenings and weekends. Committing to Crestline full-time, they initially focused on driveways and small parking lots, gradually expanding operations. By the early 1980s, Crestline had evolved to include the installation of water, storm, and sanitary sewer lines, as well as pump stations. Over the years, the company has successfully completed challenging infrastructure projects, earning a respected position in Northwest Ohio.  Crestline's key to success lies in maintaining advanced equipment and employing knowledgeable and dedicated personnel that strive for perfection. Crestline's diverse capabilities span paving, new road construction, road reconstruction, milling, trucking, waterlines, sanitary and storm sewers, box culvert bridges, equipment rental, and material recycling. With a reputation for perfection and a wealth of project experience, Crestline consistently exceeds expectations, regardless of project size or complexity.
