Foreman - Roadway/Site
About the Role
We are seeking a construction roadway foreman that will lead a crew in excavating, repairing, and preparing roadbeds, ensuring projects meet specs, safety regulations, and deadlines. You will supervise heavy equipment operation (excavators, dozers), Plan daily operations (crew, materials, equipment), interpret blueprints, communicate with subcontractors, record material quantities daily, and conduct weekly safety meetings to maximize productivity.
Responsibilities

Supervision: Leading crews, training new employees, evaluating performance, communication with subcontractors

Planning: Scheduling daily tasks and ensuring necessary materials and machinery are available.

Safety & Compliance: Conducting safety meetings, mitigating risks, and ensuring adherence to traffic control standards.

GPS & Machine Control Management: Oversee the use of GPS surveying equipment and automated machine control systems to ensure accurate grading, excavation, and pavement layout.

Operational Work: Participating in, or supervising, the operation of heavy machinery such as excavators, dozers, graders, skid steers, and rollers

Administrative Tasks: Maintaining records of time, material usage, and equipment maintenance.
